Meet Troy

Dr. Troy Akiyama is the founder and President of Edvanced Solutions Inc.  As a career educator with over 25 years of experience, he specializes in curriculum design and instructional coaching.

Prior to earning  a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University, Dr. Akiyama earned a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Portland State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Washington State University.

He holds a New York State School Administrator and Supervisor Certification (SAS) and is certified in multiple states to teach Grades K-8 (all subjects) and Grades 4-12 (English Language Arts). 

Troy taught 3rd -6th grade students in public and private schools as well as courses and seminars to college and graduate students.  He is a published author and delivers professional learning seminars around the country and internationally.
